GOD’S WORD OFFERS PROTECTION

Everyone loves a story with danger, suspense, and romance.  Some of you are aware Christ’s soon Second  Coming is in dispute.  My novel, “The Casting of Crowns” relates world events in the End Times as well as the fervor of God-fearing young adults as they are introduced to Bible truths most pertinent in the End Times.

Not all students accept Bible teachings that are clear and unambiguous.  Only those willing to accept the truth embedded in the Word, stick with the Bible study Carissa and her friends attend, longing to follow Jesus fully.

The characters all bring to the story different beliefs, lifestyles, and priorities.  Living in the End Times brings to Carissa, the protagonist, an urgency about aligning her beliefs with God’s Word.  These beliefs compel her to actions having everlasting consequences.

What would you do if you were ordered to bring your Bible(s) downtown to burn them?  This event and other plausible scenarios occur as the New World Order clamps down.

Would you trust another person (a priest) to tell you what to believe?  Or would you want to study the Bible for yourself, so as to know you have eternal life?

Do you think it’s OK to follow your conscience in matters of faith, or be told what to believe, following blindly?  What about Carissa’s wanting to please God?  Wouldn’t she be a desirable character for young women to emulate?

If your heart is with the Lord and you want to be prepared to overcome Satan’s deceptions in these Last Days, you’ll want to pick up a copy of “The Casting of Crowns” by Betsy O. JESUS LOVES YOU

Your Creator beckons you

Draw near to Him

the Source of all life

the Lord of love

the Master of your happiness

God created you for

communion with Him

He longs to lead you on

paths of righteousness

ever toward holiness

A place of completeness

Your crown, held by

Christ’s gentle hands,

lights upon your head

A sign of His approval

For you’ve allowed

the Savior’s love

to infuse your somber spirit

                                                                 Your heart, contrite

no longer marred by sin

You’ve washed your robe

in the blood of the Lamb

Christ invites you

Enter in

TIME TO REACH OUT

The hour is late

Has our time been well spent

Do we know Jesus

Can we lead another to salvation

Do we value peace and purity

Can others see Jesus

when they look at us

Why is it so hard to be holy

Does the world have a hold of us

Do we want to break free

from pleasure, power,

and no accountability

These have dulled our ability

to see the world for what it is–

a failure, for having

told us sin is OK

The Bible teaches us

“the soul who sins shall die”

Ezekiel 18:4

The sinner who turns to Christ in repentance

will be forgiven

and given a new life in Christ

He’ll walk in peace and grace

given a clean slate

Walking with our Savior

abiding in His love

No longer craving

what the world has to offer

but experiencing joy

with Jesus

everyday

Scripture taken from NKJV Bible.

JESUS, YOUR CONSTANT COMPANION

Abide in Christ

    He’ll show you the way

He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life

His way leads you to redemption

Your life is too important

to risk losing your way

Find in Christ a compassionate Friend

Come to Jesus

no matter where you are

or what you’ve done

He understands your struggle, for

He was tempted in all ways

Keep His face before you

His loving gaze will give you strength

the courage you need

in these Last Days

Sit at Jesus’ feet,

listen and learn the truth from Him

Read His word, the Bible

for it speaks truth for salvation

Your willingness to love Him everyday

gives you a constant connection

to His saving grace

He’ll help refine your character

that you may be a blessing to others

leading them into His holy presence

to accept the Light

from our Savior Jesus

longing to take you to heaven

with Him,

when He comes again

RESURRECTION DAY

He came to rescue humanity

Ourselves, we cannot save

In His mercy; His profound justice

Jesus Christ laid down His life

for you and me

For three days He lay in the grave

But death could not hold Him, for

He arose that day by the power of God

Conquering death

Handing Satan his certain defeat

Our hope is in Jesus

His healing hand remains ever on call

Abide in His love

Give Him your hand and your heart

For you are His priceless jewel

Jesus Christ is coming soon

Spend time in His Word everyday

Be ready to greet Him

as His close friend and faithful follower

Your reward, eternal life with Him

and reunion with family and friends

who also love Him

DIVINE LOVE

The Lord is my Protector

He’s seen me through dark days

His hand has guided me safely

He lifted me up

to testify of

His marvelous goodness

in every day

My God is love

His motives are pure

All favor rests with Him

He deems me fit

to work beside Him

in these

the world’s Last Days

He is calling all souls

to draw near

to His light

Receive the grace

He freely gives

to make all people His

The holy ones

stay close to Him

abiding in His peace

Following His lead

they share the Good News

Christ died for you

He rose again in victory

He draws you now

to be with Him

Take His hand

Give Him your heart

He’ll guide you home

to be with Him

for all eternity

LEAN ON JESUS CHRIST

Learn to put your trust in Jesus.  He knows what’s best for you.  Learn to trust His Word.  His Word is truth.  Learn to lean on Him.  Jesus beckons you:

“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest    for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matt 11:28-30).  NKJV

We must learn from Jesus, to not use all our energy fighting the burdens of life, but to surrender ourselves to Him, learning to carry our burdens gently and evenly, with humility and grace, never feeling the full weight upon us.  For He would have us to find rest in Him.

WHY ARE YOU HERE

People who give thanks

even through sorrows

and hardship

know the Lord.

Jesus is their constant,

their close Friend.

These self-directed ones

chose to turn to Jesus.

They abide in His love daily,

depend on Him for strength,

for joy, for purpose.

They pray,

knowing their vibrant, glowing

connection with Christ

is special to their Savior.

They’re part of a sphere

of believers

who don’t take God

for granted.

They know their purpose

in this life —

To embrace others

as Jesus embraces them.

To bring their friends,

their loved ones

into the light of loving Jesus,

embracing His love that

cannot die,

and living to please only Him.

Then our reward

if we accept it

is eternal life with Christ

our Savior and best Friend.

In my Christian novel, THE CASTING OF CROWNS, the heroine, Carissa embodies this same purpose of bringing others into a loving relationship with Jesus.  Follow Carissa and her friends as they wade deeper into the dark, threatening New World Order, seeking to save souls and learning to trust God.

COME BACK TO JESUS

 Jesus is coming,

He’s calling to you,

“You are My beloved.

You dismissed Me too soon.

You followed a path

of selfish design.

Your pride has inflated

your ego, gone wild.

No one gathers

around your feet.

They’ve come back to Me

in humility.

Your friends learned the price

of living for self.”

Loneliness grows,

love flees away.

Kneeling, ashamed,

before the risen Savior,

prompts your confession

of glorifying self.

You’re connecting again

to the Lord of life,

praying and pleading

for blessings anew.

“Welcome back, My beloved child.

Your sins are forgiven.

I never stopped loving you.”

OUR SAVIOR LIVES

God could have abandoned us

Left us to die in our sins

Instead He sent Jesus

our precious Savior

Who volunteered to die

in our place

for we are sinners to the core

He could have abandoned us

in Gethsemane

But His love for us

is unsurpassed

He died a cruel death

on the Cross

He would not let us

die in our sins

But woos us to the Cross

where we are convicted of the evilness

 of our sins

and of the power

of sin

to separate us from God

He leads us to repentance

then offers us forgiveness

in His mercy and grace

We worship a living Savior

God raised Him from the dead

Of this we are certain

Remember Thomas, who doubted

Then Jesus asked him

to put His hand in Jesus’ side

and look upon the holes in Jesus’ hands

The apostle became a missionary for Jesus

as did countless followers of Christ

Now, knowing Jesus is the Messiah

we, too, are asked to be missionaries

to spread the Good News

of what Jesus has done

to save us

Let us invite the Holy Spirit

to guide us in all things

Knowing that our loyalty to God

will be tested

before Christ Jesus comes again
